NABUCO Division B & D Challenge 2019 – News Recap

2019, 15th September, NABUCO Division B & D Challenge,

The first half of the NABUCO Divisional Badminton Challenge came to an end at the Constant
Sprint Golf Club Badminton Hall on Sunday night producing one triple winner and three
double winners.
Alyanna Cobourne of Matrix United Badminton Club was the triple winner winning the D
Division Women’s Doubles with partner Shantie Hendricks, 21-10; 21-13, over Careece
Williams and Tahlia Yee of Rangers Badminton Academy. She, Cobourne then won the Women’s
Singles over her Doubles partner Hendricks 16-21; 21-12; 21-15 and then teamed with
Chrisano Hanna of Rusty Rust Badminton for the Mixed Doubles title over the brother and
sister team of Daniel and Cara Fraser of the Avengers Badminton Club 21-16; 21-15.
After winning the D Division Mixed Doubles title with Cobourne, Chrisano Hanna got his
second win teaming with regular partner Matthew Gibbs for the Men’s Doubles title over
Romario McLymont and Odray Sealy 21-12; 21-7. The other double wins came in the B Division.
Shezelle McTyson won the Women’s Singles 21-13; 21-8 over Stefani-Imani Brown of Matrix
United Badminton Club and then teamed with long time partner Taina Daley for the Women’s
Doubles crown over Alexandra Beckford and Michele Champagnie of the Racketeers Badminton
Club 21-15; 21-8. Matthew Yee-Grant was the third double winner. He won the B Division
Men’s Singles 21-11; 21-15 over Bradley Evans. He then teamed with Stefani-Imani Brown
to win the Mixed Doubles crown in an exciting 21-15; 15-21; 21-15 over Malik Brown and
Antonette Ingleton.
Other winners were Odray Sealy in the D Division Men’s Singles over Matthew Gibbs and in
the B Division Men’s Doubles Jon-Michael Linton and Kraig Simpson won over Sean Clarke
and Maurice Mc Laren.
The NABUCO Divisional Badminton Challenge A and C Competition begins on Saturday
September 21, 2019 at the Constant Sprint Golf Club Badminton Hall @ 9:00am.
